We are seeking an ambitious Vice President of Sales (Government Sector) - Maritime Domain Awareness & Security to lead their dedicated government sales team and drive the mission forward.

About the Role:

As our VP of Sales (Government), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of maritime safety and security. Your expertise will not only influence strategic direction but also enhance their impact across the globe. You'll work closely with government officials and agencies, understanding their unique needs and crafting solutions that exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on expanding company footprint in the government sector.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key government stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners to understand their challenges and propose effective solutions with the defense sector.
  • Lead and inspire the sales function, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to tailor offerings to meet the specific needs of the government sector.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges within the maritime domain awareness and security landscape.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring sustainable growth and solidifying position as industry leaders.
  • Oversee the crafting and delivery of persuasive proposals for government solicitations, utilizing our deep technical know-how and extensive industry insights to stand out from the competition.
  • Spearhead the contract negotiation process, ensuring all agreements reflect company's goals and adhere strictly to compliance requirements.
  • Showcase a profound knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and relevant industry-specific regulations, guaranteeing clear and precise interactions with both potential and existing clients.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10 years plus business development and project/capture experience in government contracting and acquisitions.
  • Proven leadership in sales with a track record of success in the government sector, preferably within Army, Navy, NOAA etc.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations and multi-award IDIQ contracts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior government officials.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and adapt to a rapidly evolving industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
