Senior Contracts Administrator

We are currently working with a well-established industry leader within the space  sector who are looking for a Senior Contract Administrator to join their team. In support of the Contracts Manager and Team, and the Exploration Technologies business, the successful candidate will provide hands-on administration of both Government and Non-Government contracts.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Working on a range of proposals, negotiating with clients and internal stakeholders, whilst reviewing, and amending T&C’s when necessary.
  • You will be looking at pricing and billing cycles and generally working on contracts from order entry to close out.
  • The successful candidate will normally have responsibility for a portfolio of clients (between 20 or 30).
  • Providing “cradle to grave” contract administration, to include developing, negotiating, and administering, of Government and/or non-Government contracts ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations.
  • Order entry into IFS (ERP), including contract line-item inputs, invoicing, and collections (AR).
  • Identifying potential contractual issues or conflicts and measuring the level of impact/risk. This will involve working with Program Management staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve problems.
  • Drafts, reviews, negotiates, and administers non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, independent consulting agreements, and purchase orders; interpret terms, assess business and legal risks, redraft contract clauses, if necessary, and provide strategies to minimize loss or liability.
  • Compiles and maintains all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Initiates and executes closeout activities in accordance with company close-out procedures for task order, delivery order, contract, and subcontract closeouts.
  • Works collaboratively with Program Management to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while managing multiple priorities.
  • Contributes to ongoing organizational continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partners with Business Development by reviewing and executing Non-Disclosure and Teaming Agreements. Additional support activities include, but not limited to, analysis of solicitations, preparing summaries and developing strategies and recommendations based on the analysis, with attention to the financial and business risk of the proposed effort, participating in proposal team meetings, and preparing the terms, conditions, and assumptions upon which the proposal may be submitted.

 

 

We would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following:

 

 

  • At least 10 years of experience in Contract Management & Negotiation in the aerospace, high technology government, international, or commercial industries.
  • A background in a relevant sector such as aerospace, production, engineering, or from a government entity.
  • A strong background in the full contract lifecycle.
  • knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) – this knowledge is fundamental to the role.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

 

 

 

Non-essential, but highly desirable requirements:

 

  • Experience with NASA/JPL/SIBR contracts.
  • Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) a plus.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Certified Federal Contracts Manager, Certified Professional Contracts Manager.
