We are looking for an experienced Earth Observation Data Scientist to join a team at a leading organization in the Earth observation intelligence field. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of the organization's strategy to deliver science to more end users through innovative methods. You will work collaboratively with the existing technical teams to look at new potential application development based on current and potential client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain applications
- Integrate remote sensing data from various sources and sensors into tools for research and operational purposes.
- Development of Earth Observation (EO) algorithms for commercial and/or military applications
- Contribute to the optimization of data processing pipelines for speed and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments remote sensing techniques.
- Apply Data Science and ML techniques to establish applications which can be used by existing and potential clients
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Earth Science, Maths, Physics or Relevant Field
- Strong programming skills in Python (C++ is a bonus)
- Proficiency in remote sensing data processing and analysis techniques.
- Experience with geospatial data and remote sensing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
