EVONA have partnered with an exciting telecoms start-up, who are developing and launching a new satellite constellation.
They are looking for a Project Manager to lead and manage upcoming satellite missions, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Plan and track tasks to ensure that satellite missions are executed on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure alignment and mission objectives are met.
- Monitor day-to-day technical and programmatic management.
- Lead the definition of system and software architectures and interface design.
- Oversee assigned projects, coordinating with other project managers and engineering departments.
- Work closely with technical leads and, depending on the project scope, act as a technical lead.
- Ensure the timely release of project deliverables.
- Produce necessary project documentation.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks.
- Monitor project budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Master’s or PhD) in space, aerospace, electronics, electrical, software, mechanical, or similar disciplines.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in project management, preferably within the space domain.
- Empathetic, assertive, and solution-focused approach to project management.
- Previous experience applying ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardization) management standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Proficiency in producing technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of and ability to apply demanding engineering standards.
- Previous experience in space qualification processes.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage project schedules effectively.
- Proficiency in communication, both within teams and with suppliers.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Catalan or Spanish.
- Previous experience in a successful, fast-growing NewSpace startup.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Wrike.
- Experience with quality assurance and/or product assurance.
- Background in reliability engineering.
