They are looking for a Principal Structures Engineer to be responsible for the development, design, analysis, test, and lifecycle of the airframe and its components on their aircraft.
Job Description:
- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of airframe structures for high speed aircraft
- Develop and analyze airframe structural concepts, materials, and manufacturing methods
- Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the airframe design meets performance and safety requirements
- Conduct trade studies and make recommendations for material selection and structural configuration based on performance, weight, and cost
- Develop and implement structural testing plans, including static, dynamic, and fatigue testing
- Analyze and interpret test results and provide recommendations for design improvements
- Hold design reviews and provide technical guidance and recommendations to other team members
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- 8+ years of experience in airframe structural design, analysis, and optimization for aircraft or spacecraft
- Experience with CAD software(NX), FEA (Nastran and Femap) and other engineering analysis tools
- Familiarity with metallic high strength alloys and manufacturing techniques
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, structures, and systems
