As a People Partner, you will serve as the primary liaison for the employees and line managers in your region, overseeing their journey from onboarding to departure.

In addition to optimizing employee experiences during critical moments, your role involves seamless collaboration with various teams within the People department to ensure operational efficiency.

To thrive in this position, you must possess a deep understanding of the business, embody our organizational culture, and cultivate robust relationships across the company to anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues.

The People Partner role will be situated in or around Houston, Texas, and will report directly to the People Partner Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes within your designated area, collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations, including onboarding and inductions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws in your region and mitigate legal risks, liaising with external legal entities when necessary.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on employment law, benefits, and policies specific to your region.
  • Act as the representative of the People team in your area and provide guidance to People Business Partners on complex issues.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Compensation, Benefits & Mobility to enhance our benefits program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local employee inquiries, offering HR guidance and prompt solutions.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with employees, staying attuned to their sentiments and morale, and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Support employees in their professional development and long-term growth during their tenure.
  • Manage visa and immigration matters in coordination with our external provider when necessary.
  • Continuously seek improvements in our People policies and evaluate existing processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure that relevant information regarding your jurisdiction is readily accessible and up-to-date on our intranet platform.
  • Participate in various projects within the broader People Team aimed at enhancing the overall People experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a People/Human Resources role.
  • Thorough understanding of benefits, labor laws, and state regulations in the US; experience handling complex employee issues and scaling a People function is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing new policies.
  • Organized, proactive, with keen attention to detail and a data-driven approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in planning and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Possess a can-do attitude with a focus on achieving results.
  • Willingness to contribute to a positive and diverse working environment full of growth opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is considered an advantage.
