We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated HR professional who will oversee all things people-related at our client. This role plays a crucial part in the expansion of our client’s teams and in nurturing their outstanding culture. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will collaborate closely with executive team members and leaders across the organization to ensure that all employees are supported, motivated, and set up for success.

This is a full-time position based at our client's office in Arlington, VA, with occasional travel of up to 15% required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive HR support and expertise across all areas of the business, including organizational development, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and development.
- Assist executive staff and company leadership in enhancing organizational effectiveness and developing teams to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with the Finance department to oversee and analyze compensation and incentive programs, including payroll and benefits administration.
- Manage all federal and state employment-related filings and registrations, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook, recommending enhancements and incorporating HR best practices.
- Optimize business effectiveness through resource alignment and analysis of HR programs.
- Cultivate opportunities to showcase our client as a top workplace.
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to gather actionable insights and assess employee satisfaction.
- Identify key talent and develop plans for their growth.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support strategic hiring practices aligned with business objectives and coordinate orientation.

Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience as a strategic business partner.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Strong data-driven and detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in analyzing key people-related issues for a fast-growing business.
- Initiative and autonomy in achieving success.
- Experience in software, SaaS, or high-growth technology environments.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Positive attitude and belief in supporting national security.
- Monthly travel to the Pittsburgh office for three days.

Desired Skills:
- Current possession or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience in startup or entrepreneurial environments.
- Advanced degree or HR Management Certification.
- Prior experience with BambooHR, Lever, and Employee Navigator.
- Eagerness to learn new systems.
