GNC Engineer

We're seeking an experienced AOCS Engineer to join a  Engineering team in Glasgow. In this role, you'll be pivotal in designing, implementing, and testing attitude and orbital control sub-systems (AOCS) and algorithms for small satellite missions. Your contributions will directly impact project success within defined parameters of cost, quality, safety, and time.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, model, implement, and test attitude and orbit control systems for nano and small satellites.
• Translate top-level specifications into AOCS requirements.
• Facilitate the transition from system requirements to space-ready products.
• Integrate software with other hardware and/or software modules.
• Conduct validation and verification tests.
• Manage code version control and perform application maintenance.
• Assist in software task preparation and work breakdown for planning.
• Develop and maintain technical design documentation.
• Support business development by assessing technical feasibility for proposals.

Skills Required:

• Relevant degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Linux, Gitlab, and Matlab.
• Experience with embedded software.
• Strong capabilities in specification, architecture, verification, and validation.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within teams.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
