Electronics Engineer

Role Overview:

We're seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our Glasgow-based Engineering team. You'll primarily develop new electronics subsystems and contribute to satellite electrical architectures. This role requires bridging Electronics Design and Production teams in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Develop Electronics Subsystems:

 

• Design bespoke PCBs for both analogue and digital spacecraft subsystems.
• Generate manufacturing data packs for flight hardware.
• Produce non-conformance reports (NCRs) and Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).

 

Contribute to Satellite Electrical Architectures:

 

• Define bespoke satellite electrical architectures in collaboration with other Engineering team members.

 

Supporting Testing and Debugging:

 

• Guide the Test team on testing, debugging, and troubleshooting existing and new product designs.
• Occasionally provide hands-on support for testing and debug activities.

 

Project Support:

 

• Assist the Project Manager with customer/contract requirements to resolve conflicts.
• Contribute to proposals and securing new projects in partnership with Business Development.

 

Skills Required:

 

Education and Experience:

 

• A relevant Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent experience.
• Industry experience in designing and/or testing electronic circuits.

 

Technical Skills:

 

• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design software.
• Evidence of using laboratory test equipment and resolving technical issues.

 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

 

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
