Director of BD

The Director of Business Development role focuses on driving growth across various market segments. We seek an innovative problem solver and collaborative team player to expand our customer base and enhance market share. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and can devise and implement strategies to meet ambitious growth targets. They will engage with existing pipeline opportunities hands-on and subsequently oversee team expansion to support future growth phases.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of our products and technologies.
• Establish our company as a leading supplier in rocket engine technology.
• Expand our presence in the small and medium launch market.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop sustainable business models and go-to-market strategies.
• Negotiate strategic sales opportunities and manage account plans.
• Represent the company at industry events.
• Coordinate with internal departments for customer success.
• Inform marketing strategies and ensure alignment with customer profiles.
• Own forecasting and revenue targets.

Leadership:

• Identify and address business needs for team scaling.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop new talent.
• Set success metrics and provide mentorship to team members.
• Foster alignment with company core values.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience.
• Strong professional network in commercial space-related sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience.
• Success in growing revenues and closing deals.
• Strong aptitude for understanding technical products and market positioning.
• Eligibility for a Secret Clearance.
