As a key element of an expansive growth strategy, a provider of components and sub-systems for the global satellite industry is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The CTO will oversee the technological requirements of the organization, including its research and development (R&D) endeavors. The CTO will assess the organization's immediate and future needs, directing both resources and funds towards strategic investments aimed at propelling the organization towards its goals.
Key Purpose:
Lead the technological journey of a renowned international satellite market supplier as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Drive strategic research, engineering excellence, and investment initiatives to achieve organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Leadership:
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring efficient execution.
Manage technical aspects, including budget, cost, schedule, and metrics.
Establish product optimization, adhering to contract requirements.
Implement design reviews and manage engineering risks.
Drive capital investments for enhanced efficiency.
Sales Support:
Provide technical input for sales proposals and tenders.
Budget Oversight:
Define priorities to align cost, schedule, and quality.
HR Management:
Monitor staffing and foster professional growth.
Quality Assurance:
Develop processes, lead continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience in high-value project management.
Proficiency in ECSS processes and space development.
Experience & Knowledge:
8+ years in satellite engineering, 3+ years in senior management.
Preference for manufacturing environment experience.
