Operations Manager

We’re hiring on behalf of an innovative, venture-backed company at the forefront of environmental insights and AI-powered geospatial intelligence. They’re looking for an Operations Manager to take the reins of day-to-day internal operations and support the team in scaling with purpose and efficiency. This is a key role supporting everything from people operations to finance and admin, shaping internal processes, supporting team cohesion, and enabling the company’s mission to drive environmental impact through advanced data insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives that align company culture with operational practices.
  • Organize monthly All-Hands and annual company-wide events.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding for both U.S. and international hires.
  • Manage the performance review process and people ops systems.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers supporting people operations.
  • Coordinate administrative and legal services vendors.
  • Work with an outsourced bookkeeping team on AP/AR processes.
  • Manage credit card and expense reimbursement workflows.
  • Maintain corporate filings and support annual tax prep.
  • Oversee company-wide calendars and operational logistics.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in operations, project management, or executive support.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional and/or international teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with discretion and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Tech-savvy, with strong proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite.
  • Able to work from the Boston office at least 2 days per week.

The Role

 

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and expanding a customer-facing web application that delivers powerful, actionable data. You’ll work closely with both technical and commercial teams, blending frontend usability with backend scalability in service of high-impact environmental goals.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain a geospatial web platform and API delivering actionable insights to enterprise users
  • Contribute to the architecture of a scalable, performant, and modern full-stack application
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate customer needs into polished features
  • Support customers directly by troubleshooting technical issues related to the API or platform
  • Use agile practices and participate in regular team planning, reviews, and code sessions

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience
  • Proficiency in PythonJavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Strong grasp of modern web architecture, APIs, databases, and deployment pipelines
  • Solid communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

 

Bonus Points For:

 

• Experience with web mapping libraries like Mapbox GL or Leaflet

• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred) and infrastructure deployment
