Head of Talent Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the full lifecycle of talent acquisition strategies, including sourcing, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
  • Lead the identification and attraction of top talent across all departments, including propulsion, avionics, hardware, and software.
  • Support the development of an inclusive and innovative workplace culture that attracts and retains high-caliber talent.
  • Report directly to C-Suite while taking full ownership of the talent acquisition strategy and execution.

Head of Talent Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in high-tech or engineering-driven industries (Aerospace, Technology, Engineering etc.)
  • Excellent skills in strategic recruitment and talent management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Experience with recruitment software and tools is desired.

Electrical Test Engineer III

Electrical Test Engineer III

Our Space client in San Diego are looking for an Electrical Test Engineer III to work in a project team environment as an individual contributor on new test architectures design and development and/or sustaining engineering tasks.

Responsibilities will include functional performance and environmental test architectures design, development, scheduling, and execution.
 
Responsibilities: 
 

  • Review device and system level functional specifications, design documents and project documents.
  • Participate in the review of design and coding of software products.
  • Ensure that all developed test protocols are and/or can be automated, follow testing standards, and are documented.
  • Develop work estimates and status reports for each test effort. 
  • May lead and coordinate part or all of the testing effort for a project. This usually requires development and tracking of a test plan and test schedule as well as the reporting of test results.

 
Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, with concentration in software; or equivalent knowledge in the areas of software engineering.
  • Extensive background in test engineering with demonstrated technical skills.
  • Expert level configuration of ATE components including rack instrumentation and PXI architectures.
  • Excellent track record developing test automation software using LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, C#, Visual Basic.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with test tools and equipment, with emphasis on high end spectrum and vector network analyzers.
  • Experience writing and executing test procedures; Strong documentation skills.

 
Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and basic mechanical engineering concepts related to bed of nail test fixtures design and construction.
  • Previous experience testing RF devices operating in the S, X and Ka bands
  • Previous exposure to optics and laser communication technologies

Staff Propulsion Analyst

Staff Propulsion Analyst

 

EVONA is looking for a Staff Propulsion/Fluids Systems Analyst, reporting to the Director of Propulsion, to support the development of the propulsion, life support, and thermal control systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • MethaGox Thrust Chamber analysis to include CFD modeling of film cooling for different sizes of RCS thrusters.
  • Life support system analysis to include CFD of air distribution systems and cabin air volumes
  • Planning and participating in test campaigns, and anchoring analysis with test data
  • Creating and reviewing system models of pressure fed systems and associated tank, valve and line sizing for Propulsion, Life Support and Thermal Control Systems
  • Efficiently developing analysis models with commercially available CFD programs
  • Developing and teaching to other engineers best practices in analysis
  • Presenting analysis for NASA or other certification programs

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience with CFD software packages in industry: Star-CCM+, Fluent, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience with thermo-hydraulic analysis software packages in industry: SINDA/FLUINT, GFSSP, or equivalent

As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in optimizing software development and deployment processes to support satellite missions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, experience in satellite technology, and a passion for advancing space exploration through innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists to ensure AWS environment compliance with policies
  • Understand security concepts such as networking, user authentication/authorization, firewalls, and encryption
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Kubernetes clusters
  • Maintain AWS environment with security updates/best practice implementations and overall health of cloud environments
  • Work closely with other teams (e.g., satellite operators, sales, analytics product software) to resolve project and/or customer-related issues
  • Maintain a competent understanding of the company’s products, support, and services
  • Implement an “Infrastructure as Code” mindset

Skills and Experience

Required:

As a Flight Software Test Engineer, you’ll help lead the development and execution of critical flight software tests and systems.

Flight Software Test Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop SITL and HITL test execution code, and interface with high fidelity physics simulators.
  • Architect and implement automated test frameworks and HITL test fixtures for avionics.
  • Collaborate with Ground Software teams and Responsible Engineers to streamline testing and telemetry.
  • Mentor junior engineers and establish unit, integration, and regression tests with continuous integration frameworks.

Senior Electronics Component Engineer

Senior Component Engineer

Our Space client in San Diego are looking for an EEE Senior Parts Component engineer to be hands on and provide technical leadership in parts selection process, parts management process, parts creation and quality control.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the advancement of cutting-edge space projects, encompassing all stages from proposal writing, through design, to production support.
  • Develop component specifications, select appropriate parts, and manage obsolescence in close collaboration with design engineers, supply chain professionals, and quality and reliability engineers.
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams (Project, Design, Manufacturing, etc.) to ensure designs meet quality and requirement standards.
  • Promote parts standardization by advocating for the reuse of components from the database where suitable, and work with component manufacturers and distributors to understand their product roadmaps.
  • Oversee the ECAD library, including the maintenance and introduction of new parts.
  • Analyze Product Change Notices (PCNs) and Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) alerts to assess their impact on components in use, and inform relevant teams of any concerns.
  • Manage data and part number systems efficiently.

 

Experience Required:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proficient in tools and strategies for managing component obsolescence.
  • Skilled in end-of-life management, including handling commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and counterfeit components.
  • Familiar with the qualification and screening protocols for electronic, electrical, and electromechanical (EEE) parts.
  • Well-versed in JEDEC, EIA, IPC standards, as well as relevant military, NASA (EEE-INST-002), and ESA standards.
