About the Role: As a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer, you'll optimize our GNC software, enhance reliability, and reduce operational costs. You'll conduct system analyses, simulations, and drive architectural decisions, ensuring our systems meet specifications. You'll oversee the entire GNC development lifecycle, from design to flight testing, contributing to a cutting-edge aerospace simulation framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Specify ADCS hardware performance
  • Develop autonomous satellite control algorithms
  • Design trajectory and re-entry systems
  • Create 6-degree-of-freedom simulations
  • Conduct Monte Carlo analysis
  • Integrate and test GNC sensors and software
  • Design ground services for maneuver automation
  • Monitor on-orbit system performance and troubleshoot as needed
  • Coordinate with spacecraft operators and government agencies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, physics, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience or PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in C++/Python/MATLAB/Simulink
  • Understanding of orbital mechanics and software development
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree in engineering or physics
  • Experience with spacecraft attitude control systems
  • Familiarity with AGI STK or similar tools
  • Knowledge of multi-body dynamics and thermodynamics
  • Experience supporting flight tests or flying spacecraft
