Job Description:

As a Senior Director of People Strategy & Operations, you'll play a pivotal role within the P&C Leadership Team. Collaborating closely with the VP of People & Culture, you'll spearhead the implementation, expansion, and enhancement of our client's people strategy programs to align with business objectives. This hands-on leadership position involves working across all levels and functions within the organization, focusing on elevating employee engagement, nurturing leadership and talent development, fostering empathetic Employee Relations, and enhancing retention rates.

Your primary responsibilities include forming partnerships across the organization to advocate for the utilization of people strategies supported by data, proving their positive impact on business performance. Additionally, you will ensure each business/function receives adequate support by cultivating a proficient team of Senior P&C Managers, P&C Business Partners, and their respective teams, offering guidance, development, and functional expertise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the VP of People and Culture to develop Global People Strategies aligned with Business Strategies and execute them through P&C initiatives.
  • Establish an outstanding Employee Journey by ensuring that all people policies and processes enhance the employee experience.
  • Direct all P&C Compliance Requirements and manage the P&C Team's activities related to Compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation of Global Corporate P&C Programs and Projects through Business Partners, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
  • Lead HR Capital Management System Integrations, including WORKDAY, and incorporate new Employee Engagement Apps into the communication network.
  • Drive M&A activities for P&C areas, including due diligence, compliance, integration, and talent retention.
  • Provide strategic direction for the IMPACT Community Involvement program.
  • Analyze metrics, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, and lead global strategic workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to support the design and implementation of organization structures and lead change management processes.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, promoting ownership, success, knowledge sharing, and talent development.
  • Provide leadership to the P&C Senior Manager, Business Partners through individual development plans and regular feedback sessions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years directly managing senior P&C leaders in multi-function organizations.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a senior leadership position leading senior P&C business partners within a global organization.
  • Profound experience in Organizational Development, Change Management, and talent development.
  • Expertise in planning and managing large, complex programs.
  • Thorough understanding of US Labor Law.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the Continental U.S. and globally.

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • SPHR Certification highly preferred.
  • Prior experience scaling a P&C organization in a high-growth environment.
  • Prior Aerospace and Defense experience preferred.
  • Prior HRIS Implementation experience preferred.
  • Exceptional EQ and Empathy.
  • Strong aptitude in analysis, root cause identification, and problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional travel within the Continental U.S. or abroad.
  • Ability to work in an office and R&D environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing; frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
