Satellite Platform RF/EMC Systems Engineer
We’re hiring a Platform RF/EMC Systems Engineer to join a high-impact team working on next-generation satellite platforms. In this role, you’ll ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) across complex RF environments, bridging communications payloads with platform subsystems.
If you're a specialist in EMC testing, RF system integration, and satellite-level analysis, this opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact on mission-critical hardware performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Perform EMC analyses and interpret unit-level EMC test reports
-
Analyze communication payload RF transmitter/receiver data and recommend design improvements to ensure EMC with platform subsystems
-
Develop system-level EMC test plans and lead satellite-level EMC testing
-
Support grounding, shielding, and wiring harness design for EMC compliance
-
Troubleshoot RF/EMC issues in integrated satellite systems and Platform Engineering Models (FlatSat)
-
Contribute to systems engineering documentation: requirements specs, verification matrices, design descriptions, and compliance statements
-
Participate in key program reviews (EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR) with internal teams and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
-
A bachelor's degree in electrical or aerospace engineering
-
5+ years of hands-on experience in RF and/or EMC engineering
-
Extensive experience in large-scale, system-level EMC testing
-
Familiarity with unit-level EMC testing based on international standards
-
Strong systems engineering foundation, including digital, RF, and analog design knowledge
-
Experience with satellite wiring harness design and signal routing strategies
Nice to Have:
-
Understanding of space environments and satellite communications
-
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in fast-paced engineering environments
-
Leadership qualities or experience mentoring junior engineers
-
Excellent communication skills in English; French language skills are a plus
