Satellite and Payload System Test Authority
We’re supporting an innovative space tech company seeking a Satellite and Payload System Test Authority to join their System Engineering Department. In this role, you’ll define and execute test strategies and methodologies for digital payloads across the full satellite lifecycle — from planning to in-orbit validation.
This position is ideal for an experienced systems engineer with deep technical expertise in satellite communications, phased arrays, and payload testing.
What you’ll do:

Lead trade studies to develop satellite and payload test plans aligned with program verification and validation objectives

Define and implement test methods, test requirements, and oversee test procedure execution

Coordinate test integration with cross-disciplinary teams to meet mission and technical requirements

Maintain verification and validation matrices through the program lifecycle, including on-orbit commissioning

Oversee satellite and payload testing including EGSE definition, test supervision, data analysis, trending, and reporting

Contribute to the development of Satellite Operations Manuals and related training materials

Support in-orbit test campaigns and assist in anomaly resolution efforts
What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

10+ years of hands-on experience in digital communications systems for the space sector

Experience with LEO, MEO, or GEO satellite communications

Strong understanding of phased array antennas with active elements, signal processing, modulation schemes, and networking

Systems engineering experience across space and ground segment design, integration, and flight software

Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
Bonus points for:

Experience with constellation operations and multi-satellite environments

Background in developing and testing automated test methodologies

Familiarity with DOORS, Windchill, or Jama for requirements management

Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives with minimal supervision

Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus)
