Position Overview

A leading provider of advanced ballistic testing solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join their London-based team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong leadership qualities, a talent for building client relationships, and a passion for driving international sales growth. The successful candidate will lead business development efforts, oversee key customer accounts, and promote cutting-edge products and services to defense, aerospace, and government clients worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities

  • Build and maintain a robust international sales pipeline through proactive outreach and networking

  • Conduct on-site visits and lead technical sales meetings with engineering teams and customers globally

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer requirements

  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, lead contract negotiations, and close high-value deals

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on sales performance

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and product demonstrations


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally within defense, ballistics, or high-tech engineering sectors

  • Demonstrated success in developing new markets and closing complex sales

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior technical and commercial stakeholders

  • Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities

  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 40–50% of the time

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience is a plus

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and obtain relevant international travel clearances
