Your Role
 
SAS FF’s manufacturing team is critical to executing our missions. As a 2nd shift CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in significantly impacting the company and industry. 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following: 
  • 4+ years of CNC machine operating and programming experience
  • GED required, trade school certificate a plus, or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the operation of both 3 and 5-axis mills, EDM; lathe experience is a plus
  • Ability to hold close dimensional tolerances .0002-.002 
  • Experience in creating custom fixturing
  • Ability to interpret aerospace prints with a high amount of GD&T
  • Capable of producing conforming parts to specifications within the required time frame while maintaining all quality standards
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements 
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. 

We are most interested in candidates who also have the following:
  • A passion and aptitude for learning, along with a great work ethic 
  • Experience in aerospace prototype machining
  • Programming using Mastercam
  • Experience with Dmg Mori and Okuma machines
  • Ability to operate both mills and lathes 
  • Experience in an AS9100 and/or ISO9000-certified production environment
How You Will Be Rewarded
 
The annual salary for this role is $28.00/hr. - $40.00/hr. In addition to base pay, 2nd shift offers a 10% differential. Compensation depends on the candidate’s work experience, education/training, and related skills.
