They design & manufacture cost-effective, radiation-hardened systems and have a proven history supplying the sector.

Position Summary:

The Ground Systems Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the software used for satellite operations. The Ground Systems Software Engineer works closely with the Satellite Operations Engineers and Flight Software Engineers to build reliable command and telemetry interfaces, intelligent automation, and scalable infrastructure to support all aspects of satellite operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and, most importantly, excited to work in the space industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to maintain, update, and improve the entire ground software stack.
  • Develop tools and automation to perform various essential on-orbit and ground functions with minimal user interaction.
  • Develop the spacecraft operator interface web app.
  • Develop efficient and reliable backend software to manage command and telemetry pathways.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and plan system architecture.
  • Develop satellite and ground telemetry tools for efficient anomaly resolution and state of health assessments.
  • Develop scalable, seamless, and holistic ground station software infrastructure.
  • Write software unit tests to mitigate bugs.
  • Monitor ground system health and respond to anomalies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Extremely proficient in the Python programming language.
  • 2+ years professional experience developing REST APIs.
  • Professional experience in web application development. (1+ year Django or 3+ years other.)
  • Experience writing and architecting object-oriented software.
  • Experience with light weight front end web development.
  • Comfortable working in Linux
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, especially during time-critical situations.
  • Experience working with relational databases, familiarity with time series databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience working with small satellite systems and/or satellite operations.
  • Experience working with docker for deployments.
  • Experience with SDRs – like GNU Radio or qRadio This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.

My client builds, and operates a diverse range of small satellite systems supporting space-based turnkey missions for several business applications, including earth observation, communications, in-orbit demonstrations, risk reduction opportunities, in addition to various science and exploration applications.

Position Summary:

The Integration Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of various systems and components within our small satellite projects.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual who can lead integration efforts and drive the successful execution of our satellite missions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in aerospace engineering or related fields, with proven experience in integration management within the satellite industry.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of various systems and components to deliver reliable and efficient satellite solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor integration activities, driving improvements and success.  

Key Information:

My client is in the process expanding their operation and this role will be within a new facility they are growing into. Although this position is advertised as on-site in Colorado. For the first 4-6 months in this role you will be required to travel extensively to their HQ in California (roughly for 50% of the time) until they have transitioned their manufacturing to the new location.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Integration Strategy: Develop integration strategies tailored to the unique requirements of small satellite projects. Collaborate with engineering teams to align integration efforts with project objectives and technical specifications. 
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and expertise on integration methodologies, protocols, and standards. Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies to support integration efforts, optimizing performance and efficiency. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration among engineering, testing, and operations teams to facilitate smooth integration processes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals. 
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with integration activities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure project success. 
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes for integration activities. Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated systems to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications. 
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, configurations, and test results. Generate regular progress reports and updates for management and stakeholders to track project status and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members involved in integration activities. Share best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and lessons learned to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred. 
  • Proven experience (5 years) in integration within the aerospace or satellite industry, with a focus on small satellite systems. 
  • Strong technical background in satellite systems, including familiarity with spacecraft bus architecture, payload integration, and testing methodologies. 
  • Proficiency in integration tools and technologies, such as CAD software, simulation tools, and test equipment. 
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from inception to delivery. 
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
  • The banding for this position is between $120,000 – $160,000 depending on experience

Electrical Hardware Engineer

Position Summary:

In this role you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining avionics hardware.


  • Perform component selection, design analysis, schematic capture, circuit board design, prototyping, board bring up, debugging, circuit validation, and design documentation for electrical designs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, define new processes, design circuits/fixtures/tools, and identify opportunities for improvement in both products and processes.
  • Support or act as responsible engineer for flight hardware, from conception through build, qualification, flight integration, and ultimately flight operations.
  • Support build and process improvement through troubleshooting build problems and work to simplify and streamline recurring work to enable higher reliability of the avionics hardware.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience with Electrical Hardware design, analysis, and/or unit level testing.
  • Experience with avionics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes.
  • Experience with analog, digital, or mixed signal multi-layer PCB design.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Altium or similar software.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and electronics manufacturing to analyze and improve test coverage.
  • Hands-on experience with sizing, installing and troubleshooting various electronic components.
  • Experience with wire harness design and build, including associated sub-components.
