Looking to work on stealth projects that involve space clean up?

I am looking for a skilled mechatronics engineer to who wants to work on stealth space projects with big budgets. You will be working on greenfield design challenges involving complex mechanisms and motion controllers.

This is a heavy design focused position using SolidWorks that will eventually move into rapid prototyping, testing and clean room flight assembly as the project progresses from paper to reality.

You will need prior mechatronic experience with space focused hardware/ vacuum systems would be ideal but open to similar systems.

Core skills 
– Solidworks 
– GD&T
– Clean sheet design 
– Understanding of Motion controls

  • Preform structural and Thermal analysis at both system and component level for Spacecraft projects.
  • Preform FEA Analysis including, static, nonlinear, thermal distortion, modal, structural dynamics (vibration & shock).
  • Preform Dynamic Analysis.
  • Document creation and management.
  • Database creation and maintenance


Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in Structural and / or Thermal Analysis
  • Experience working on Space related projects.
  • Experience with NX Nastran
  • Experience with Thermal Desktop
  • Experience with Composites.
  • Desirable to have experience with Non-Liner Dynamics

A company based just outside of LA is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. With their focus on space sustainability they have won a number of exciting contracts and this is an excellent time to join them and establish yourself in their growing team.

This is a varied role working on tool design & selection, process creation, design for manufacturing, quality planning and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tooling solutions for assembly and fabrication.
  • Break down complex assemblies to develop process flows.
  • Write work instructions, quality and inspection plans and requirements.
  • Work with contract manufacturers to develop smooth processes that support fast development.
  • Build prototype hardware and contribute to design efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in a technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience working on the manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
  • US citizenship is required for this position.
  • Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance, or ability to obtain.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer 

EVONA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in LA. As a Mechanical engineer, you lead the design, analysis, and manufacturing of our Space vehicles and different subsystems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design metallic structures and propulsion fluid systems under accelerated timelines
  • Review specifications and other engineering data to develop mechanical systems
  • Update designs and drawings through engineering change orders to support our rapid pace of design iteration
  • Create detailed component and assembly drawings incorporating an understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of mechanical design and drafting experience
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
  • Solid understanding and application of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
  • Spacecraft design experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience working on teams designing hardware in a highly constrained system under defined timelines
  • Familiarity with welded structures and fluid systems
  • Ability to manage large assembly models and drawings
  • Ability to work and communicate well with minimal supervision
  • Creative problem solver that can bring multiple disciplines together to achieve buy-in for a unified design direction
  • Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication, and documentation skills
