What You’ll Be Doing:
 
You will be responsible for developing and integrating software Command & Control solutions for satellite vehicles as well as working with customer stakeholders to decompose mission requirements and engineer solutions with existing products. The successful candidate will have a very strong understanding of C2 concepts and common industry standards and protocols such as CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, XTCE, and MIB. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and incorporate solutions into the companies broader product suite with a focus on simplifying operations and allowing our customers to utilize their satellites like servers!
 
Tech Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • Strong understanding of satellite communication protocols such as CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP and data processing algorithms
  • Strong understanding of standardized command and telemetry definitions such as XTCE and MIB
  • Understanding of satellite encryption algorithms such as AES-256 GCM, AES-256 CFB, AES-256 ECB, NSA Type 1 PEGASUS, NSA Type 1 CARIBOU
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development
  • Strong knowledge of software performance optimization and best practices
  • Preferred experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EFS/EBS, EC2, and RDS
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar framework for version control
  • Preference for experience with open source

Soft Skills:

  • Deep technical analysis and troubleshooting skills

  • Independent self-starter; able to complete projects on time with minimal guidance

Background Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years [professional] experience with software development and/or systems engineering for satellite command and control systems

Product Engineer

The Role

As a Forward Deployed Product Engineer, you’ll be embedded with customers, guiding them through onboarding, troubleshooting, and optimizing their platform use. Your expertise in software development and problem-solving will shape product improvements while ensuring seamless mission management.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Work directly with satellite operators to configure and deploy the platform, solving mission-critical challenges in real time.
  • Rapidly prototype new product functionality to gather user feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Educate customers on platform capabilities, including customization, automation, and rule configuration.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues using system logs, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.
  • Serve as the key liaison between customers and internal teams, identifying areas for improvement.

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • Eligibility: Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, with a focus on customer-facing roles.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience developing React components in TypeScript using frameworks like Next.js or Refine.
  • Understanding of networking topologies, protocols (UDP vs. TCP), and cloud-to-on-prem connectivity.
  • Experience developing containerized applications in Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
  • Basic knowledge of satellite communication technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.
  • A customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills.

 

Background:

  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for on-site customer engagement.

Director of Business Development – Hardware Manufacturing

Location: Huntsville, AL or Arvada, CO (preferred)

Salary: $175-215k base + 10-15% bonus potential

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Business Development to grow our hardware manufacturing business for commercial, civil, and DoD customers. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for hardware solutions, including design, machining, and large-scale production.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth in hardware manufacturing through strategic capture and relationship building.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand capabilities, AS9100 compliance, and customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities with commercial aerospace, civil agencies, and DoD.
