Flight-Operations Systems Engineer
We’re supporting a leading player in the space industry in their search for a Flight Operations Engineer to join their System Engineering Department. This role is focused on the development, implementation, and validation of satellite constellation operations and procedures — supporting mission success from launch through to routine and contingency operations.
What you’ll do:

Conduct trade studies to design and test satellite and constellation operations procedures

Develop in-orbit operations procedures and oversee their execution and training delivery

Build and maintain Satellite Operations Manuals and related test procedures

Define and manage verification and validation matrices for on-orbit commissioning, routine, and contingency ops

Support in-orbit testing, anomaly resolution, and fault detection isolation and recovery (FDIR)

Work with satellite simulators and develop scripts to support operations and testing
What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field

7+ years of experience in flight or constellation operations
-
Previous hands-on experience with LEO/MEO satellite operations

Experience with automated satellite ops and in-orbit testing (IOT)

Strong understanding of space and ground segment integration, flight software, satellite database operations, and telemetry structures

Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages
Bonus points for:

Familiarity with AGI Systems Tool Kit (STK)

Experience using DOORS, Windchill, or Jama for requirements management

Background in constellation operations

Development and testing of automated ops flows and scripts

Modeling or simulation software experience

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus)
