In this role, you will spearhead the strategic vision, lead a talented engineering team, and ensure the successful integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a dynamic team to drive strategic vision and execution of engineering initiatives.
  • Oversee project delivery, manage a talented engineering team, and integrate cuttingedge technologies.
  • Foster a collaborative and highperformance engineering culture.
  • Sustain high availability for an endto-end satellite imagery production environment.
  • Lead the development and cultivation of a team overseeing the health of a portfolio of software services.
  • Conduct performance reviews, facilitate training and development, and manage projects.
  • Ensure daily product deployments are coordinated and communicated for our 24/7 environment.
  • Collaborate on current/future architecture/design with a focus on system reliability and performance.
  • Drive effective communication and documented processes for services working across different time zones.
  • Ensure production environments comply with security updates and best practices.
  • Work crossteam to derive technical requirements for designing, building, and maintaining services.
  • Passionate about delighting customers and ensuring compliance with data handling and industry policies.
  • Design and monitor environment alerting, maintaining procedures for rapid repairs.
  • Responsible budget planning to keep cloud costs low and monitor utilization to prevent unexpected costs.
  • Maintain a competent understanding of the company’s products and services.
  • Ensure engineering strategies and processes meet business objectives and operational needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for leading and managing a global team.
  • Solid understanding of software development practices and cloudnative applications.
  • 3 years’ experience with Kubernetes and 5 years’ Linux Systems administration.
  • Knowledge of Cloud services, Terraform, Python, Go, REST, SCIM, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with pipeline tools, SIEM/Log monitoring tools, and the ability to travel internationally.

Desired Skills:
  • Strong AWS skills covering security, networking, storage, and compute.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Developer certifications.
  • API development experience (HTTP/REST).
  • Experience with common Kubernetes configurations and tooling (Helm, Istio, Kustomize, FluxCD, Argo Pipelines, Datadog, Rancher, Velero).
