DevOps Engineer (Remote Flexibility Available)

Location: US (TS/SCI with Polygraph required)

Overview:
We are supporting a leading project within the aerospace and defense sector that is expanding its cutting-edge collaboration workflow platform. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain complex applications across cloud and hybrid environments

  • Manage servers, networks, firewalls, load balancers, and technology tools

  • Monitor systems for performance, uptime, and security compliance

  • Troubleshoot system issues and lead incident resolution

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and container technologies like Docker

  • Support the deployment of distributed web applications

  • Rotate into a 24/7 on-call support schedule (one week every 6-8 weeks, with additional compensation for on-call coverage)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree)

  • 8+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related disciplines

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Linux systems administration

  • AWS, MASH, and virtualized environments

  • Relational databases (Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL)

  • Networking fundamentals, security best practices, and firewall/load balancer management

  • Terraform for infrastructure as code

  • Docker and Docker Compose

  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management

  • Deploying and supporting distributed web applications

Desired (Bonus) Skills:

  • Experience working in highly secure environments (eVo, CoDE, UWE environments)

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Zookeeper, Hazelcast, Kafka, and Nginx

  • Familiarity with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for system monitoring

  • Python scripting and Java/Spring Boot application troubleshooting

  • Ansible for configuration management

  • Working within Agile software development frameworks

  • Jira and Confluence usage for project tracking and documentation

  • Monitoring, alerting, and system observability toolsets

Compensation:
$101,996 to $219,197 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
