Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development with definition, design, analysis, and implementation of the GNC
  • Definition and analysis of the GNC system requirements
  • Verification & Validation (V&V) of the GNC system
  • Support the operation of the GNC during rendezvous proximity operations and docking missions

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year industry experience developing AOCS and GNC satellite systems
  • Deep understanding of AOCS/GNC algorithm design e.g. navigation filters, guidance strategies and controllers
  • Deep knowledge of AOCS sensors and actuaors and the ability to model and simulate satellite control systems
  • Good understanding of Filters for absolute and relative navigation
  • Understanding of V&V processes used for GNC system
  • Excellent technical communication skills (written/verbal)

Lead Project Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for design, development and verification of products throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be providing the technical leadership and direction to the project team. This is a customer facing role you will be involved in delivery bids as well as writing technical proposals.

Mechanical Design Engineer

I am currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to be responsible for designing, analysing and developing small satellites and space products, providing mechanical engineering leadership on platform projects ensuring delivery of those projects to cost, quality, safety and time parameters.

The successful candidate will have:
– Experience in designing Satellites / Cubesats
– Experience in Solidworks
– Experience at supporting projects in their infancy e.g. PDR to CDR
–¬†Ability to validate designs by analysis (structural/thermal
РExperience designing for manufacture, assembly and test. 

This is an initial 4 month project and although it is fully remote, you do need to be based in the UK.

  • Deliver work tasks and assignments in accordance to required standards and compliance requirements¬†¬†
  • Application of functional and technical expertise to meet compliance requirements¬†
  • Ownership of satellite operations work packages in accordance with standards and compliance requirements¬†
  • Drive the first weeks of our satellites‚Äô lives through planning, preparation, and execution of the commissioning phases¬†
  • Analyse data and investigate in-orbit anomalies, solving problems both individually and through collaboration with other engineering disciplines¬†
  • Ensure nominal operations of existing missions and help improve existing processes¬†
  • Support the design of mission specific ground segment systems for service and data delivery¬†
  • Develop documentation and processes in according to regulations and licence requirements¬†

 
Skills required:

About this Role:

We are seeking a full-time Embedded Software Engineer with experience in product development to join our team in Glasgow, UK. As we expand our platform’s capabilities, we need creative, driven individuals to assist in developing, testing, and deploying satellite technology. You'll work on projects of varying sizes, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery, from driver development to encrypted communications. Occasional travel may be required to support other sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Software Architects and System Engineers in scoping work and specifying requirements.
  • Deliver work tasks to required standards and compliance.
  • Design, develop, debug, and test software for embedded systems on satellites.
  • Script for automation and testing, and maintain tooling for production and testing automation.
