About the Role:
Our client, a leading player in the space industry, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Program Manager to oversee space programs and lead a talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing integrated programs, collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure that technical, cost, and schedule requirements are met. You will craft comprehensive program plans, manage budgets, and facilitate clear communication both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

Manage space programs from concept through execution, guiding your team to meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives.

Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration with departments including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Program Planning & Execution:

Develop overall program plans and identify the work breakdown structure.

Create and manage program budgets.

Implement earned value management system updates with inputs from all relevant departments.

Oversee the implementation of programs and maintain effective internal and external communication.

Process & Reporting:

Provide comprehensive program status reports to senior leadership.

Utilize gated product development processes to ensure milestones are met.

Create and manage presentations for customer design reviews.

Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.

A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the design, development, and management of complex hardware systems.

Demonstrated experience in the space market, with exposure to either commercial or defense space programs.

Background in microwave R&D, communications, or electronic warfare subsystems.
