Our client, based in the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, the United Kingdom are looking for a Propulsion Electronics Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a New Space company who are developing propulsion technologies for the small satellite and In-Orbit servicing market.

Our client, based in the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, the United Kingdom are looking for a Propulsion Electronics Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a New Space company who are developing propulsion technologies for the small satellites.

In this position, you will be leading the design and development of electronic driver units for propulsion products. You will be supporting the design and build of electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) to support test campaigns of components and subsystems.

Essential Skills:

  • You have 3+ years working experience in the space industry.
  • You are familiar with embedded software, standard interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, CAN, SpaceWire, Camera Link, etc.)
  • You have strong experience with analogue/diital electronics, simulation and modelling.
  • You have strong technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • You have good experience/familiarity with space propulsion subsystem design/interfaces.
  • You have knowledge of space rated components.
  • Good knowledge and skills with FPGA implementation (coding, simulation and testing).
  • You are familiar with ECSS standards relating to flight electronics and are knowledgeable in designing vs EMC/EMI specifications.
