GNC Engineer II

Our client, based in Florida are looking for a GNC II Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to join a really exciting company in the space sector who are revolutionising access to space through there hybrid-rocket engine. In this position, you will work in a small team in the development, assembly, integration and testing of a hybrid rocket small launch vehicle. You will act as the GNC subsystem lead. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: You will have a Masters Degree in control systems engineer or aerospace engineering or a Bachelor degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. You have strong knowledge of the aerospace design cycle (including trade studies, design, production, AIT, analysis, and data review. You have strong capabilities with control systems theory, development and design. You have experience in developing vehicle control system specifications, developing flight constants and guidance parameters, analysing COTS components and experience in conducting trajectory analysis and optimisation for launch vehicles. You also have strong MATLAB (or similar) experience. DESIRABLE SKILLS: You are familiar with LabView or similar software You have some experience with C++ programming You have experience with writing test plans, procedures and reports You have a working knowledge of hybrid rocket engine concepts Please apply to find out more.
