Our client based in Belgium are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Design Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a very well established but growing space company who are working on some exciting projects.

In this position, you will be responsible for the satellite equipment’s embedded software development, this will include the software requirements, then designing the software/code working to those requirements and specifications. You will ensure that the software and code adheres to MIRSA-C coding rules. You will also be involved in unit, integration and validation tests to ensure that the software is performing correctly in all cases. You will also take part in the equipment level functional and performance test campaigns making sure that the design and results are documented accurately.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• You have a Master’s Degree in Software Engineer, or Computer Science (or similar).
• You have a strong understanding of electronics and micro electronics.
• You have hands on design, development and testing of embedded software.
• You have good experience working to ESA standards (ECSS-E-40/Q-80).

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• You have fluent English language skills
• You are a pro-active, creative, enthusiastic individual and are a results orientated team plater with excellent planning, organizational and communication skills.
