SENIOR ELECTRONICS SYSTEM ENGINEER
Torrance, CA OR Salt Lake City, UT
Hybrid (3 days per week onsite); Full-time (9/80 schedule); Permanent

An exciting Senior Electronic Systems Engineer opportunity has just arisen with a leading military aircraft designer and manufacturer of flight control equipment and systems.

In this position, you will develop FCCs, ACUs, MCEs for primary and secondary flight control systems for military aircraft. You will lead the progression from conceptual and detailed design phases to verification and ultimately certification, capture and document electronics box requirements considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints, you will also translate system requirements into electronic hardware specifications and communicate them to the design team, and conduct integration and testing for hardware and software, investigating performance anomalies. In addition, you will represent the company as the recognized technical authority and be an internal and external technical reference (not limited to).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of design and development engineering work experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in design, analysis and development of electromechanical systems and/or components.
  • Over 3 years of project and/or team leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, and RTCA/DO-254)
  • Even though this position does not require a DoD security clearance, you'll need to be eligible to obtain access to US export-controller information.

Desirable:
  • Experience in the design, analysis and development of aircraft actuation controllers.
  • Experience with actuator sensor interfaces.
