An exciting Senior FPGA/Digital Design Engineer opportunity has just arisen with a leading military aircraft designer and manufacturer of flight control equipment and systems.

In this position, you will be responsible for the design and creation of FPGA systems that interact with electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components in flight actuation systems. You will tackle complex challenges, devise innovative solutions, and contribute to applications within the military aerospace sector. Reporting directly to the Electronics Engineering Manager, this position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the field.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of design and development engineering experience (Aerospace & defense industry experience is desirable).
  • Over 3 years of experience designing test benches and simulations using digital simulation tools (for example Modelsim, Active-HDL) for verification of FPGA designs.
  • Digital design expertise including modern microprocessors / DSPs, high-speed digital logic, FPGA, memory, analog-to-digital, digital-to-analog converters, and communication links.
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of VHDL or Verilog coding and how to optimize for performance.
  • Analysis expertise including power dissipation, power use, timing, signal integrity, component derating, and Acceptance Test / Built-In Test coverage.
  • Knowledge of board design and layout including design tools.
  • Even though this position does not require a DoD security clearance, you'll need to be eligible to obtain access to US export-controlled information.

Location: Remote, ideally based in Colorado, Washington D.C., or Los Angeles, CA
 Salary: $180,000-$260,000 base PA
 
Join this dynamic aerospace & defense company and play a pivotal role in shaping its future. This company operate in diverse markets, including Space, Industrial and Scientific, as well as Air, Sea & Ground. As the Vice President of Business Development, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and spearhead the strategic growth initiatives with an aim to increase revenue.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s Strategic Growth Plan, leading a high-performance business development team.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capture strategic growth programs, cultivate key customer relationships, and provide market insights for R&D planning.
  • Market Diversification: Drive overall growth by expanding into new products and customer segments.

  • Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop top-notch business development talent.

 
Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical science (MS preferred), MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 20+ years in aerospace & defense, with executive roles in business development and program management.
  • Track Record: Proven success in developing and executing strategic growth plans.
  • Sales experience: sold directly into the DoD/IC community and have deep connections within.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with senior-level customers, executives, and board members.

Director of Supply Chain and Procurement

 I am working with a fast-growing Aerospace & Defence manufacturing business who are looking for a Director of Supply Chain and Procurement to join their team.

The Director of Supply Chain and Procurement will be a key organizational leader with extensive experience in the full suite of supply chain (procurement, shipping, scheduling etc.) contributing to strategy deployment, operational success, and financial execution of the business. With 5 direct reports, and leadership responsibility of 55 people, the successful candidate must have excellent hands-on leadership skills. Experience in the Space / Aerospace / Defense sector is essential, and experience in Government procurement regulations would be highly desirable.

What you will be doing:

  • Establishing daily management processes and enhancing digital tools that yield predictable outputs.
  • Effectively building and maintaining relationships across the supply base that lead to effective partnership and risk sharing.
  • Increasing supplier on-time delivery (OTD) and program material availability metrics that directly have a positive impact on programs.
  • Driving significant and sustainable cost out and PPV performance to yield EBITDA growth.
  • Reducing overall supply chain business partners (suppliers) to simplify and strengthen the supply chain.
  • Connecting daily supply chain activities with financial performance and expectations tied to standard work.
  • Building a culture across the organization that supports workforce engagement, retention, and efficiency improvements.
  • Effectively engaging in regular performance reporting to Executive Leadership and proactive communication.
  • Serve as key leader of the Supply Chain professionals in the organization providing leadership and strategy execution.
  • Lead, engage and continuously develop all team members.
  • Meet functional organization and business annual operating plan targets.
  • Analyze the supply base and make quick decisions to drive rapid improvement in KPIs.
  • Lead Supply Chain processes to ensure tools, processes, and staff are competitive and applicable to the business needs. Develop Supply Chain improvement roadmap and timelines. 
  • Support pursuits and proposals in the business, including review/approval and the generation of production schedules to support proposal efforts and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) as needed.
  • Communicate strategies broadly to expedite adoption and institutionalization of best practices.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on Supply Chain projects, tools and systems.
  • Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members routinely and as requested.

We would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following:
 

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in a Supply Chain, Sourcing or Procurement functional capacity with emphasis on Space, Aerospace and/or Defense end-use products.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Supply Chain, Sourcing or Procurement leadership/management/supervisory role.
  • Experience working in a DoD/Government contracting environment and In-depth knowledge of Government procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience dealing with DCMA, DCAA and other federal audit agencies.
  • Experience with ERP and associated tools.
  • Experience leading and driving a SIOP process.
  • Experience working proposals or front-end business activities.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical background.
  • Ability to travel, as required (25%).
  • Actively hold DoD Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
