Responsible for the design, test, and integration of complex, high-speed FPGAs (mostly Xilinx)
Develop architectures compatible with embedded Linux environments.
Design and support top-level system simulations.
Fully document design details and hold a design review prior to implementation
Work in a fast-paced development team, collaborating closely with hardware and software engineers during test and integration
Translate system requirements into FPGA architectures.
Develop FPGA designs using HDL (VHDL, System Verilog, etc.).
Support systems integration and Test Engineering to produce functional designs.
Implement and contribute to the architecture of current and next-generation multi-megapixel camera systems, interfacing with the Camera Link and SpaceWire standards.
Design systems capable of handling Imager data and Image processing (Embedded Camera Development).
Create and document test plans to assure integrated performance meets specification.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5 or more years of experience in the design, test, and integration of complex, high-speed FPGAs
Experience with lab equipment
Ability to read, understand, and review schematic drawings
Experience with technical documentation
Ability to multitask and handle a dynamic work environment

Derive and document circuit board requirements from system/top-level requirements.
Create schematic drawings for complex Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
Layout and/or guide the layout of printed complex Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
When/where needed, assist with manufacturing of complex PCBAs.
Develop printed circuit board assembly test procedures to assure that performance meets specifications.
Validate the design; troubleshoot and test complex circuit boards.
Provide system integration and test troubleshooting support
Be able to meet aggressive/accelerated schedule deadlines.
Support internal and external design and development gate reviews with related documentation.
Support customer meetings.
Participate in proposals and trade studies, including evaluating contractor and subcontractor proposals for technical feasibility.
Requirements:
Minimum Education / Experience: 2-6 Years with Bachelor’s in Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and/or Master
Hardware/schematic design, analysis/simulations, layout and test experience.
Capable of multi-tasking; working on multiple projects & supporting production activities
Strong technical background; capable of coming up-to-speed quickly on new technologies.
Preferences:
Preferred experience with space design, development and manufacturing standards
Preferred knowledge of space environmental conditions including EMI/EMC, temperature, humidity, altitude, shock, vibration, acoustics, and decompression.

This role will be responsible for the essential architecture and payload description for all new air and ground systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops architectures using radar, EW/EA, EOIR, Multi-Int, communications, radios, and broadband RF sensors to satisfy ConOp and Mission needs.
Serves as Chief Engineer for Mission Architectures and Technical Proposal lead for complex Integrated Systems.
Will work closely with aircraft and mission Business Development and stakeholders
Establish essential scope coverage in proposal efforts.
Interface with customers during program shaping, ConOps development, Mission Architecture definition, and requirements derivation activities.
Interface with other System Engineers to collaborate on trade studies, flow down System Architecture, Payload Selection, make/buy decisions, and requirements synthesis/allocation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree or PhD in Engineering and engineering experience as follows; 18+ years of experience with a Bachelors Degree, 16+ years of experience with a Masters Degree, or 13+ years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
Must have demonstrated experience developing mission architecture for airborne systems.
Must have hands-on experience with several of the following systems: Radar, ESM, EA, Counter Measures, RWR, EOIR, Maritime Operations, Military Radios, Communications Systems, Survivability Concepts, Airborne self-protection, PED, Software Exploitation Tools.
Must have very strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to build strong networks and be influential across functional boundaries.
Must have experience working with customers to shape requirements and influence procurements.
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to engage as technical lead in business development/capture activities.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is desired.
