Controls & Automation Engineering Technician – $28-31/hr – Merritt Island, FL – Onsite – Aerospace

Your Role:

  • Support the setup and maintenance of SCADA and manufacturing automation equipment.
  • Assist as the primary automation contact in the clean room.
  • Contribute to the mechanical and assembly processes.

  • Collaborate with MGSE, Facilities, and IT teams.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree + 2 years' experience or High School + 5 years' experience.
  • Knowledge in PLC, SCADA, and network configuration preferred.
  • Strong work commitment.

EVONA is partnering closely with a Florida-based leader in satellite design and manufacturing. Join them as a Production Manager and help ensure the timely and quality production of satellites, managing daily operations and a team of supervisors and technicians.

You will drive safety, quality and data-driven improvements, while working with departments to streamline production.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead spacecraft integration and testing in compliance with quality, timescales, and costs.
  • Address issues hindering production progress including test support equipment, manufacturing tools and factory works.
  • Foster a safety and quality-first culture.
  • Utilize data for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Plan and manage AIT resources.
  • Mentor and develop your team of production supervisors and technicians, including managing headcount.
  • Conduct Gemba walks and daily meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of technical production experience.
  • Aerospace and clean room experience.
  • Ability to understand specifications and systems requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to drive positive change.
  • Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP system) and other tools.
