About You:

  • Strong experience with metallic manufacturing techniques such as CNC fabrication, welding (orbital tube and TIG), and precision cleaning.
  • Proficient in CAD and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of Python or other coding languages.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working directly with hardware on the floor, including stooping, bending, and standing.
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing, design for manufacture, and product development life cycle is a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen.

They have partnered with government agencies including the US Air Force and NASA to develop a series of autonomous aircraft that derisk the technology and solve urgent national security challenges.

These products provide the data and confidence necessary to certify, produce, operate, and maintain safe and comfortable commercial aircraft.

The Manufacturing Team at are the boots on the ground and have a vast array of experiences ranging from welding, additive, tube bending, machining, integration, and avionics.

The Opportunity:

  • You will complete work order operations, quality buyoffs, and issuing hardware
  • You will build mechanical engine and propulsion sub-assemblies
  • You will proficiently use various mechanical tools
  • You will maintain, troubleshoot, and install fluid and electromechanical components from a schematic or drawing
  • You will work closely with engineers and leadership to develop and implement operational improvements focused on driving task times down and ease of repeatability
  • You will rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

About You / Valued Experience:

  • Experience in a startup development environment
  • Experience working in a flight development program
  • A&P license is preferred, but not required
  • Experience transitioning parts/assemblies from first article to production

Skillset/Responsibilities

A tooling engineer on the structural engineering team is responsible for the design, analysis, fabrication, and use of various drill tools, jigs, integration fixtures, and ground support equipment in support of major structural assemblies.

The Opportunity:

  • Interface with the structural and manufacturing teams to develop tooling and processes to support aircraft build activities
  • Design and analysis of aircraft tooling and ground support equipment (GSE) using the engineering software tools (NX, Nastran, Femap, etc.)
  • Provide technical support for first implementation of the tooling during aircraft build activities
  • Hold design reviews for all tooling designs
  • Suggest and incorporate changes in design to improve manufacturability

About You:

The Engines team is responsible for the engine development efforts that will propel all of the hypersonic vehicles.

Through multi-disciplinary efforts to develop air-breathing engines that facilitate ground take-off and flight at supersonic and hypersonic speeds, they are addressing challenges that very few engineers have the opportunity to solve and doing so at a strategic and rapid pace.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join the team as they dive into the design of the first flight engines.

The Opportunity:

  • You will be responsible for the build and inspection processes for the structural assembly and testing of primary and secondary structures.
  • You will develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet all design and business requirements including safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery
  • You will collaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve large-scale production challenges
  • You will resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement root cause analysis and corrective actions
