Our client are on a mission to help democratise the space industry, and use it for good. They are leading the New Space charge to enable faster, better and cheaper access to space through their sustainable/environmentally friendly launch solutions for small and medium sized satellites/constellations.

If you are Assembly Mechanic, Aircraft Technician/Mechanic and you want to work on cutting-edge projects in the space launch industry, then this role is for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling both engines and rockets!

Responsibilities:

  • Machining - carbon fiber composites
  • High-precision assembly of space components
  • Testing/measuring electrical and mechanical internals
  • Testing of components and complete assemblies
  • Supporting with test setups
  • Focussing on continuous process improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with regards to standards, regulation and quality
  • Documentation
  • Working under high cleanliness requirements

Skills required:

  • Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic - specialising in production engineering, or maintenance engineering, or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in aviation, or space, or Aerospace
  • Some knowledge of gas/fluid bolting techniques
  • Spatial awareness, drawing skills and a strong technical understanding
  • Fluency in English, German language skills is an advantage
  • Proven experience working under pressure
  • Open to assembly work across different locations
