Senior Manager – Operational Finance

We are currently working with a well-established business within the commercial Space sector who are looking for a Senior Manager of Operational Finance to join their team. Reporting into the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will have a strong background in FP&A, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Develops, analyzes, and reports operational and business-relevant finance metrics set by the business.
  • Collaborate with department managers to set, track, and optimize performance metrics and performance vs budgets.
  • Develops financial reporting and dashboards to report financial performance.
  • Works with other members of the finance and operations team to track and report project finance metrics.
  • Ownership of analysis and reporting processes designed to prepare actionable, insightful, and detailed financial reporting that drives effective decision making with a focus on improving speed of reporting creation and accuracy of forecasts.
  • Assists with project costing in support of pricing and project reporting.
  • Supports forecasts, comprehensive budgeting, and long-range financial planning activities, deadlines, and deliverable creation.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates complex and dynamic financial models.
  • Manages internal controls.
  • Has supervisory responsibilities.

HR Generalist

Your Mission
The HR Generalist for Kiruna (Sweden) and Andoya (Norway) is responsible for providing comprehensive HR Support to our work sites in both locations. This role will manage various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration and compliance, as well as payroll. Ensuring that our employees and leaders have a positive experience and that the organisation operates in accordance with local labour law.
More specifically, you will:

  • Recruitment: Collaborate with hiring managers to manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing and onboarding for both locations. Attending local recruiting events
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, issues and concerns, fostering a positive work environment and addressing conflicts when they arise

Who you are and what you have

  • At least 5 years of experience in HR roles, including experience working with labour laws in both Sweden and Norway

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The VP of Finance will provide strategic leadership and manage the company’s overall financials, including P&L, reporting, audit, price to win; and will ensure all proper controls and systems are in place. To be taken forwards in this role you need an in-depth knowledge of DoD reporting and a strong working knowledge of government contract accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the President
  • Contributes to strategic financial planning. Responsible for finance OKR’s and creating metrics to measure progress against goals
  • Communicates to the President, Executive Leadership, and the board, significant developments affecting the division’s financial goals, develops recommendations and takes appropriate actions
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and maintains a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over financial activities
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Oversees the contracts function in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain compliance, work with contracts staff to develop and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and pricing strategies for bids and proposal
  • Oversees Payroll function for US Staff.
  • Oversees Accounts Payable function ensuring all expense reports, vendor payments and other items are booked correctly
  • Ensures that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Performs program and indirect cost reviews, rate validations, forecasting of labor and overhead rates. Monthly prepares P&L reports for the President and Executive Leadership showing spending vs. budget and identifying any problems that need to be addressed
  • Reviews and participates in the preparation of cost estimates for bids and proposals.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior financial management position
  • Experience working with federal contractors and DoD/DHS environments
  • Demonstrates an aptitude for working with non-finance business leaders at all levels of the organization to explain, define and apply complex financial concepts
  • Working knowledge of SAP Financial systems
  • Experience in government contracting and solid knowledge of government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Thorough understanding of DCAA Compliance and auditing requirements
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and make recommendations to improve financial /operational results.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
  • Possesses critical knowledge of federal and multiple state tax laws as well as basic accounting issues
  • Have a hands-on pragmatic approach to business, asset management, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Must communicate clearly and effectively at all levels and be capable of making presentations to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Related certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA

Contracts Manager

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Aerospace client based in Denver.

Reporting into to the Senior Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a variety of government and commercial contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Provide support to the team and internal stakeholders throughout the agreement lifecycle, including assistance with proposal development, negotiation, and drafting of prime contracts, preparation of change proposals, and managing contract close-out activities.
•    Gather pertinent information and offer strategic guidance; create, revise, and adjust prime and subcontracting agreements.
•    Act as the company’s contracting interface with clients, operating under the guidance of the Senior Contract Manager.
•    Collaborate and integrate with the programs team to aid ongoing contracting efforts and contract modifications.
•    Assist in refining company templates.
•    Coordinate with other functional support groups, particularly strategic supply chain, to ensure timely negotiation, agreement execution, and record management of contracting agreements in support of prime contract performance.
•    Review, negotiate, and compose a variety of agreements in support of finance, human resources, procurement, facilities, and operations teams.
•    Support the development of ERP and other records management tools; work with internal team members to ensure a smooth transition.
•    Engage in communication and negotiation with customer and vendor contracting professionals.
•    Fulfil responsibilities both independently and in collaboration with the Senior Contracts Manager, as well as other members of the legal and administrative department, and internal stakeholders.
•    Assist in training and developing more junior members of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Essential experience in drafting and managing US government contracts; additional background in negotiating and overseeing prime commercial contracts is preferred.
•    Experience in the technology and manufacturing industries.
•    Demonstrated proficiency in writing and exceptional analytical skills.
•    Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience or a Juris Doctor degree with at least five (5) years of experience.

 I am working with a fast-growing Aerospace & Defence manufacturing business who are looking for a Director of Supply Chain and Procurement to join their team.

The Director of Supply Chain and Procurement will be a key organizational leader with extensive experience in the full suite of supply chain (procurement, shipping, scheduling etc.) contributing to strategy deployment, operational success, and financial execution of the business. With 5 direct reports, and leadership responsibility of 55 people, the successful candidate must have excellent hands-on leadership skills. Experience in the Space / Aerospace / Defense sector is essential, and experience in Government procurement regulations would be highly desirable.

  • Establishing daily management processes and enhancing digital tools that yield predictable outputs.
  • Effectively building and maintaining relationships across the supply base that lead to effective partnership and risk sharing.
